Larry XL

Johnny Millwater

If there's a club, hall, bar or basement that need jokes, Larry XL is ready to entertain. Larry XL's is a favorite with audiences from Florida to Canada. He's been a finalist in comedy competitions in his native Baltimore and neighboring cities like Washington, DC and Philadelphia.

Soon after he started performing at area clubs, Larry XL recorded a concert CD with the DC Standup All-Stars, 2004's DC Standup vs. Earth and later his own live DVD, 2009’s Crowd Control. He then hit the road performing in some of the nation's best comedy clubs (and anywhere else with electricity) opening for the likes of Bobby Slayton, John Witherspoon, Ralphie May, Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson, Roy Wood Jr., Finesse Mitchell, and Charlie Murphy. He has also been heard on XM Satellite Radio and Baltimore's 98 Rock. Larry XL has recently performed in some of the country’s largest comedy venues like the Stardome in Birmingham, Alabama and the Borgata in Atlantic City. In the Fall of 2012 Larry XL appeared in the film "Elf-Man" starring Jason Acuna (from MTV’s “Jackass”).

Carmen Morales

Carmen MoralesCarmen Morales has developed a captivating style which incorporates quick wit and outlandish characters. Taking from family, friends and people from everyday encounters she transforms into these characters seamlessly, then add hilarious commentary which leaves the audience doubled over in laughter. With a perfect combination of like-ability and vulnerability she has been well received by audiences internationally. She's been seen on the tv show "Laughs" on Fox. She's also been featured in Gilda's LaughFest Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy, Women of Comedy Festival, in the New York Times and has produced her own traveling comedy show, The Not Your Average Broads of Comedy as well as performed in comedy clubs, colleges and military bases across the country.

Chris Killian

Chris Killian never intended to become a stand-up comic. Growing up outside of Nashville, Chris was just a small guy with big dreams, like being a professional wrestler, performing in a boy band, or maybe entering professional pizza eating contests. Luckily for us, none of those dreams materialized and he decided to pursue comedy. Chris' humor has been described as "overlooked because of his really cool hair." While he does have amazing hair, Chris also prides himself on his versatility as a performer, and his perspective as a slightly immature single dad offers a unique take on society that many other comedians don't have.

Oh, forgot to mention - he writes original comedy songs too. Armed with his guitar (and the voice of a Backstreet Boy), this added depth to Chris' already hilarious show features even more value for the audience's entertainment dollar. In 2010, Chris was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and his song "Bieber Fever" was a front page feature for Funny or Die. By early 2012, Chris released his first full-length live album through Rooftop Comedy Records, "The Not Black Album" to rave reviews. Angie Frissore from the Boston Comedy Scene Examiner wrote: "Killian is the type of comedian that is hard not to like - with his boy-next-door image and southern charm, he manages to get away with things that might land some others in an awkward position." By October 2014, Chris plans on releasing a full-length studio recorded comedy album of songs and sketches titled "Viral Inflection" to the world.

Chris tours the country performing for comedy clubs and colleges everywhere, and has even performed for the troops during a tour of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has shared the stage with some of comedy's biggest names, including Greg Giraldo, Chris Hardwick, Doug Benson, Marc Maron, Jon Reep, and nearly every comic from "Chelsea Lately." He has even opened up for Steve-O from "Jackass," and WWE Superstar Mick Foley. Until he can perform in an area near you, Chris' stand-up and songs can be heard regularly on XM Radio.

If all of this failed to impress you, just know that Chris Killian's comedy show is quickly gaining a reputation for being one of the most unpredictable shows in the business. You have two options (A. Miss it and wallow in regret, or (B. See it, and brag to your friends about how much cooler you are than them.

Dusty Slay

Dusty has a smooth southern style that will make you feel so comfortable you have to laugh. Its like cornbread telling you jokes. He’s clever, quick witted and relatable.

Slay was born in Alabama, splitting his time living in a trailer park and on a farm. One would say he was born to be a comedian…or a meth addict. In 2004 Slay moved to Charleston, South Carolina where he began performing Improv Comedy. Improv led to stand up and that led to Dusty performing all over the country. Slay recently relocated to Nashville, where he can be seen performing stand up all over town.

“I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, i was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth, and i was lucky to have that spoon” –Dusty Slay

Dusty has had the pleasure of working with several comedians such as: Jeffrey Ross, Moshe Kasher, Jon Reep, Jarrod Harris, Michael Ian Black, Pablo Francisco, Nate Bargatze, Keith Alberstadt, Josh Blue (Last Comic Standing), Jared Logan, DC Benny, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Rory Scovel, Mark Normand, Wendy Leibman, Carly Aquilino and Jessimae Peluso (MTV’s Girl Code), and Rob Schneider!

Dusty was recently featured on Laughs on Fox and has appeared on “The Bob and Tom Show”!

James Sibley

You may have seen James Sibley on the TV show "My Name is Earl", and in the movies, even starring alongside Billy Bob Thornton. But you can see him in person this week at Somewhere in Augusta.

James Sibley has been a touring headlining comedian and actor for 20 years. His Family friendly comedy has brought him to comedy clubs nationwide fro NY to Hollywood, Idaho to Alabama and has made him a favorite on the high seas with Carnival Cruise lines. You may have seen him on TV show’s like “My Name is Earl” or “The Gilmore Girls” and more ... he was in the movie Mr. Woodcock with Billy Bob Thornton and some other films as well ... he’s a regular on nationally syndicated radio programs Bob & Tom as well as John Boy and Billy. A father of 4 and a grandfather now as well, James has been blessed to travel the world making people laugh. And no matter where you live James is a favorite at your local comedy club and he’s also worked or written for some pretty famous people too ... but none are more important than good people who come to see him do what he loves.

Dan Whitehurst

Born to laugh, Dan Whitehurst has been searching for the funny in some of the most unusual and challenging situations. Bitten by the performing bug in 1998, Dan spent his free hours writing jokes and performing at various venues, and by 2001 was a regular at the legendary Zanies night club in Nashville.

The first six years of his comedy career were accomplished while moonlighting as an Armed Robbery Detective for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Apt at flying under the radar, most of his co-workers never knew about his “silly little skit.” In February 2001 Dan won the title “Worlds Funniest Cop” from the American Society For Law Enforcement Training, and in 2002 was named Metro’s Investigator of the year.

In May of 2005, a 19 year police career ended leaving nothing but the memories, and funny stories. Over the years the act has evolved from set-up/punch to relatable, true (mostly) stories.  Thanks Statute of Limitations!

As a hand picked opener for Janet, “The Tennessee Tramp” Williams early in his career, Dan was fortunate to travel and work with a seasoned professional who always kept him in stitches, and led to headlining opportunities of his own. He also toured briefly with mega-star Ralphie May, and opened for such acts as Tim Wilson, Killer Beaz, Josh Blue, Jay Mohr and the Emo Phillips, as well as appearing on the Bob And Tom Show.

Recently Dan has worked as an extra on the hit series “Nashville” which was renewed for another season and is open to any acting roles in which he can play a middle aged southerner with a thick accent.

Paul's comedy is inspired, inventive, and a pure delight. His refreshing outlook, can do spirit, and hysterical insights make him a popular comic on cruise ships, colleges and at corporate events. For over twenty years he has performed in every state, as well as overseas in England and Australia.

"A deviously creative funnyman", says the Denver Rocky Mountain News. "Wonderfully wholesome and significantly different", adds Silver Friedman, the owner of the Original Improvisation.

His more than two dozen TV appearances include being the Marketing maverick for Comedy Central, Everybody loves Raymond and Showtime's: Love at Stake. His unique act is best summed up by the New York Post, "Pure gold, very funny, and illuminating."

What the critics say:

'Pure gold, funny…very illuminating.' New York Post

'Lyons left the audience in tears.' Columbus Bulletin

"Paul entertained and enlightened us. His refrain hit home, "Look at what you can do." Indeed what you focus on grows and Paul helped us all see how we can always shift our attitudes to get the best out of any situation. He is quite insightful and his message is right on." Dr. John Farquha, Rutgers University
