Cee-Jay

Carl "Cee-Jay" Jones is one of the hottest, freshest comics to hit the comedy scene. Cee-Jay is wild and totally outrageous, with a style of comedy that is all his own. His stage presence, quick wit, high energy and rapid fire delivery keeps his audiences laughing non-stop from the moment he hits the stage.

In Cee-Jay's world nothing is off limits. He gives you his perspective on how he sees the world, and when he does ... YOUR WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! He's appeared on BET's Comic View and Showtime’s At the Apollo. Don't miss your chance to see one of comedy's new rising stars!

Blayr Nias

Blayr Nias is not your average female comic.  She lives by the credo "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning."  When she hits the stage it's with manic energy, high octane humor, and her trademark mega-watt smile giving her the nickname "GummyBlayr."

Winning audiences over across the country with a dynamic stage presence, she shares tales of her misadventures as 'the bad girl next door'.  This Massachusetts native graduated from the George Washington University with a degree in Theater and Creative Writing.  She performs at comedy clubs, corporate events, and colleges and universities such as West Virginia University and University of Kentucky.

She has opened for Natasha Leggero, Ralphie May, Broken Lizzard (Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan) Josh Wolf, Tom Simmons, Chris Kattan, Neal Brennan, Chris Franjola, Jon Reep, Jamie Kennedy, Tom Green, and DL Hughley. She has lived in the South for the past 10 years giving her a unique blend of Northern Aggression and Southern Charm.

In 2012 she was featured in the Pink Collar Comedy Tour at the Piccolo Spoletto Festival in Charleston, SC and performed in the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival in Asheville, NC headlined by Jim Gaffigan.  She was a featured artist in the Charlotte Video Project, a collection of short films about the culture of the city.

In May 2013 she won the "Best of the Best" Award for Best Twitter Feed presented by Charlotte Magazine. She was also voted Top 30 Under 30 by Elevate Lifestyle Magazine in their June 2013 issue.  In September 2013 Blayr was a regional finalist in Comedy Central's Up Next Comedy Competition.

Blayr was honored again by Charlotte Magazine in May 2014, in their Best of the Best Awards issue as Best Comedian.  August 2014 Blayr performed on the Festival Stage at the Oddball Comedy Festival in Charlotte, NC headlined by Louis CK and Aziz Ansari.  Blayr made her network television debut September 2014 on the new hit Fox show Laughs.

Blayr is the creator and producer of  The Almost Famous Comedy Show at The Charlotte Comedy Zone. Running monthly since March 2012, The Almost Famous Comedy Show is a diverse lineup of the area's rising comedic talents.

Sid Davis

Sid Davis, born Christopher Davis, grew up in a small farm town near Dayton, Ohio. Theyoungest of 4 children, was declared a very smart child ....on paper. His razor sharp wit made him a distraction in school classrooms.

After entering Ohio University's School of Communications, he was noticed and mentored by aprofessor; acclaimed television writer, Dr. Melvin Helitzer; who referred to Sid as one of the best young writers he's worked with. Sid's initial job out of  college was at a small radio station as a salesperson and a copywriter. Sid loved writing. He hated selling.

One day he arrived home and told his wife that he had departed from his job, she informed him she was expecting their first child. According to Sid, "That situation is how guys become insurance agents. " Sid’s goal of making a living from his creativity had to be put on hold.

Sid despised being a salesperson; but was good at it. "I don't like selling any product or service I have no control over. "

He left the insurance business and began working in the airline industry as a baggage handler. He soon attended aviation tech school, working 16 hour days for two years, and eventually became a licensed airline mechanic in Charlotte, NC

Life changed for everyone after 9-11. The financially devastated airline industry resulted in Sid receiving an exit package of forced retirement. He used the time to take up stand-up comedy at Charlotte’s Comedy Zone. He also Joined Toastmasters and placed at the top of the North Carolina humor speaking contests for two consecutive years.

Recognized early on as a great writer, Sid slowly honed his stage presence to project his hilarious and unique comic style that includes versatility for all occasions. He can switch a couple of things around and change his set from very clean, to PG to R. His versatility for audiences ranges from Churches, to clubs to cruise ships.

Sid was a huge hit at the 2012 San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival and the audiences voted him into the festival's Best in Fest Showcase (which he unfortunately had to miss because of travel arrangements).

Sid returned to the SLO festival in 2013. The audience once again voted him "Best in Fest" and he headlined the festival’s Best in Fest Showcase, which was broadcast live on the SIRIUS Comedy Raw Dawg Channel.

Again in 2014 the audiences of SLO voted Sid Best in Fest where he hosted the Sunday showcase in the 1500 seat Fremont Theater.

During his airline tenure at the Charlotte airport he penned, Space Available; a hilarious suspense story about an airline baggage handler that uses his free flying to track down a man who stole his identity.

"I based the characters on friends from the airport," Sid shares. "I'm very proud of the story and hope to have it produced into a motion picture someday."

Roger Keiss

Roger KeissSince being named a finalist in Showtime’s “Funniest Person in America” contest, Roger has made national television appearances on the Showtime Cable Television Network, Showtime’s

Comedy Club Network, and TNN. Roger has performed in concert with such  notables as the legendary Chuck Berry, Clarence Carter and Alabama.

Besides performing, Roger is also an avid comedy writer. He has contributed laughs to Jay Leno’s Tonight Show monologue, as well as being a regular writer for the nationally syndicated panel cartoon Lucky Angler, and the comic strip Noogie Elementary. His  humorous writing work for numerous Industrial films has included such clients as the Krystal Restaurants and the Augusta National Golf and Country Club.

Jim Holder

Jim HolderJim Holder is an 18-year veteran of stand-up comedy who has headlined comedy clubs from coast-to-coast. Jim started his career at The Comedy Workshop in Houston, Texas, home of the "Texas Outlaw Comics" such as Sam Kinison? and Bill Hicks?.

"Bill Hicks was the first non-famous comic I ever saw live and it changed the way I thought about comedy forever! The Outlaw Comics didn't look like comedians I saw on TV. These guys owned the stage like rock stars! You never knew what was going to happen next!"

From those early influences, Jim developed the passion for stand-up comedy that he carries today. With an attitude aimed at making people laugh uncontrollably, Jim strikes incredibly close to home with his cynical descriptions of everyday subjects. His comedy is sometimes silly and hard-hitting, often spontaneous and interactive, but always funny. The question Jim receives most often after his show is "When are you coming back?"

Along the way, Boronkay won five Emmy’s, one of which is proudly displayed in his mother's home office behind a lamp.

After a failed audition with ESPN (a mirror was involved), Bill reevaluated his career and took off in lukewarm pursuit of his true 14th dream and stand up.

Boronkay continues to work in Cleveland TV, hosting the, "High School Sports Insider" on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.

In 2011, Bill cut back his media work to increase travel and share his less than remarkable life experiences as a never married middle aged man.

Rich Guzzi

The Rich Guzzi Comedy Hypnosis Show is actually three shows in one because Rich is part standup comic, part master hypnotist and part motivational speaker. He becomes the Swiss army knife of the stage every night as he relentlessly tours the country and cutting the crowd to ribbons.

The show becomes a rock concert when Guzzi invites people from the audience on stage to participate in the hypnosis part of the performance. "It’s not your average comedy show" says Rich "When I did only stand up, the attention was all on me and what I was going to say next, now everyone is focused on their friends on stage. It becomes personal, making it thousands of times more powerful and of course, funny!"

Don’t be misled, Rich Guzzi is still a standup comic and that is what sets his hypnosis show apart from the rest which is quite evident as soon as he hits the stage. Even his preliminary talk about hypnosis hits the funny bone hard and with all the jokes and facial expressions added throughout the show there is no mistaking his comedy roots.

Rich also makes time in his show to bring awareness to the benefits of hypnosis. "In the end, all I really want to do is help people" says Guzzi in his unmistakable New York accent. "I am like a cross between Tony Robbins and Tony Soprano and the show as funny as it is its still only a demonstration of what you can do with this powerful tool."

The Rich Guzzi Comedy Hypnosis Show is standup comedy, hard-hitting hypnosis show and self-help seminar with some special surprises. Sounds like an offer you can’t refuse.
